I'm not involved in the literary world at all and don't even really like to read but somehow I got recommended one of your previous NYC adventures on Substack and there's something very earnest and appealing about them. If I were you, I would invest a little money in getting the jeans patched up rather than just throwing them out and buying another pair. It can look very cool and helps you feel invested in your clothing, which is a good hurdle to overcome on the road to self respect.
